CREATE A PERSONAL MENTAL HEALING SPACE ON A BUDGET
I have created a list of my best tips on how to create a space for your mental healing and physical growth while on a budget.
Find a place in the home that you can call your own. If you do not have a whole room, you can use a corner of the bedroom. Just find a place that is quiet and peaceful while you use it, and where no one will disturb you.
If you need to, you can hang curtains to create a small space while you are using it. Whatever you can do to create a space to find some peace and quiet, do it!
Get yourself a chair to meditate on or add a bunch of pillows and blankets to sit on the floor.
A space heater is great if you get too cold or add extra blankets.
Pictures make you feel calm and inspire you. Hang fairy lights around them or your decor.
Plants, plants, plants! If your space has little to no light, adding fake plants will do the trick!
Make sure to bring items that calm your senses into your space.
Rock lamps and fairy lights are great for setting the ambiance. Add LED strip lighting or an LED bulb so you can change colours to soften the space more. Bright, harsh lights make it harder to relax.
Add a small table to create an alter to place your favorite items on.
Some good crystals to add to your new space to start with are: amethyst, selenite, black tourmaline.
Soften the corners by hanging fabric, tulle, old curtains etc. Fabric in the creases or corners will soften the space. Drape some of it from the ceiling creating a soft space that feels comfortable.
This is a great spot to put your books that speak to you energetically and spiritually.
If you have a dream board you can place it in this room.
Set the energy with soft music.
Put 2 selenite on either side of the entrance to the space.
This is a great place to put any of your art or creative things.
Great place to do yoga.
Bring in candles just do not burn them unattended.
If you use smudging tools, place them on your alter.
Keep this space clear from clutter.
Bring in your diffuser and essential oils.
Keep this space cleared energetically regularly.
Clear and charge your crystals regularly.
If the floor is hard and cold get some area rugs or lay down blankets, make this is cozy as you can.
Enjoy this new space, use it daily, even if its only 10 minutes. You need a landing pad to get grounded and calm. Breath slowly and mindfully.
